The Commune-ity, Texas style

I mentioned that I wouldn’t keep you guessing long, but then I did.  My apologies.

I’ll give you one more chance after seeing this picture below…I think you may be able to figure it out…

If you guessed that I attended the Texas Commune-ity meeting and that I heard Darrell Johns speak, well, then you score 100%!

It was incredible.  I arrived late Friday evening but was there in time to hear Bro. Johns speak about spiritual renewal and to enjoy a great time of praise and worship.  Saturday morning I discovered that a hotel lobby during a youth conference is not a great place to attempt to do any work, but is excellent for catching up with friends and drinking coffee, two things which score high on my list of favorites.

The meeting was held in Center, Texas which is the home of Wired Student Ministries.  They have pretty sweet facilities, including a coffee bar.  I took a few poor quality photos, but have to share them with you!

Have I mentioned that they have sweet facilities?

Saturday was also full of great, informative sessions. Bro. Johns spoke about “Managing Change.”  It was an incredible message and very timely for youth ministers and workers.  We had break out sessions and question and answer sessions and general group sessions, and it was all so very good/refreshing/challenging.

Have I convinced you to go to the next Commune-ity meeting (click here for details!)? Well, you should definitely go (you know, if you qualify).

And if you’re not a youth pastor/worker/volunteer, then go hug your youth pastor/worker/volunteer.  They deserve it.
