I Believe-$5,276,732.32
Historic and unprecedented support for the General Youth Division and UPCI youth ministry continues. Tuesday, September 20 was our annual “SFC Call-In Day” for all of our district youth presidents and marked the conclusion of our 2016 SFC offering campaign. It was truly a remarkable day for the cause of missions and ministry. This year’s offering would not have been possible without the great effort and teamwork of the entire General Youth Committee who inspired sectional leaders, pastors, teenagers, young adults, and entire churches to express their faith through incredibly generous and sacrificial giving to #SFC16.
From beginning to end, this has been a life-changing, gospel-moving, ministry-enabling campaign. At our Mid-Winter meeting in January, Oklahoma Youth President Justin Reinking inspired us to believe that a $5 million offering was possible and Pastor Barron Longstreth declared that sacrificial investment opens the door for supernatural demonstration. You sacrificed and God responded with miraculous provision.
I am thrilled to announce the goal-surpassing, record-smashing 2016 North American SFC offering total:
$5,276,732.32!
The journey continues into uncharted territory. We have not gone this way before, but I know that He goes before us, and He is with us. While we will discuss various district and church contributions in greater detail during our meetings at General Conference next week, here are some of the amazing highlights from this year’s historic effort:
On behalf of the General Youth Division, our allocation ministry partners, and those whose lives will be eternally impacted by the funds raised in this year’s campaign: THANK YOU! We sincerely appreciate your passion for youth, your vision for youth ministry, and your sacrificial investment into the kingdom of God through Sheaves for Christ.
