Spring Fashion 2015-2
Spring is right around the corner, which means out with the drab and in with the fab. There is nothing better than stepping out of your house one morning and physically smelling the change in the air. No longer is the outside bitter and cold from the winter months. Now there is a light sweetness that engulfs you as you walk to your car.

I love seeing all the bright spring colors finally waking up from hibernation. Even the malls seem to teem with life yet again. As a Pentecostal gal, I can honestly say spring is the best season to buy clothes. Why?

Two words—SKIRTS EVERYWHERE.

Skirt 940

As soon as the temperature begins to rise, there is a rush to the sewing machines as designers think of new and creative ways for women to rock that ladylike skirt fashion. During these precious months, I unashamedly stalk up on all of the skirts I can. They are bright, they are cheap, they are modest, and they are selling everywhere!

One of the most popular styles of skirts popping up this spring is the high-waisted floral flare skirt. Starting right at the waistline, these skirts look great on every body type, and they totally go with spring’s blooming flowers. An extra bonus for these adorable clothing pieces is that 75% of designers sew them to go all the way to the knee. Praise break for modesty!

Forever21 is one of the best places to find these types of skirts, and most of them are under $25!!

Pencil 940

Another must-have spring skirt is the ever fashionable pencil skirt. This style is perfect to wear by itself with a fancy blouse and heels or with a graphic tee and sandals—it all depends on your style! I personally love using these types of skirt for layering. A lot of times, I will find a super cute spring dress, but it just isn’t long enough for my 5’6” height. But that’s not a problem! By layering a pencil skirt underneath your new dress, you’ve successfully stayed modest and created a new layered look uniquely beautiful.

My favorite place to find these types of pencil skirts is Old Navy. From petite and tall to size XS and size XXL, you’ll find the perfect size for your body type. Old Navy is great at coming out with new patterns for these flawlessly-fit skirts at least once a month. Currently, the plain and striped patterns are out now, but soon all the bright and energetic patterns will be showing up on the racks. Also, you can get most of these skirts for under $20. Hooray for saving money!

Workout 940

Another skirt Old Navy and a few other stores are trying out is the jersey skirt. They are made out of a soft, almost spandex material that breathes and moves as you do. If you’re dying to start working-out after a long cooped up winter but just aren’t sure what to wear, look no further. Add some leggings underneath, your favorite t-shirt and sneakers, and you are good to go. These are the perfect comfortable skirt for your busy and healthy lifestyle.

Aside from large department stores, there are also a magnitude of online stores that carry classy and beautifully modest apparel. Here are some of my favorites.
