37, And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

4, Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?

5, Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6, That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7, Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

8, The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

John 7:37-39

37, In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

38, He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Acts 11:12-18

12, And the spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the man’s house:

13, And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter;

14, Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.

15, And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.

16, Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

17, Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?

18, When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

Acts 19:1-7

1, And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,

2, He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

3, And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism.

4, Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

5, When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

6, And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

7, And all the men were about twelve.

Romans 8:9-11

9, But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

10, And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

11, But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Romans 8:16, The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

1 Corinthians 12:13, For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

Colossians 1:27, To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

11, Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.

12, And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?

13, Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.

14, But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell atJerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

15, For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

16, But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
