Just a few days ago, the youth of the Texas District convened for an epic youth convention in Lufkin, TX. The theme was: Esse Quam Videri (to be rather than to seem). It ties in with the Texas District Youth Ministries 2010 “2b Campaign.” Rev Cortt Chavis led the attendees into a dynamic atmosphere of worship, evening speaker, Rev Rashidi Collins, powerfully delivered the Word of God. Multiple split sessions added to the event as youth were inspired, challenged and equipped 2b different and to make a difference. The results: over 3,500 students responded to the Word and were impacted by the Spirit, 50+ received the baptism of the Holy Ghost for the first time, and over $5,600 was given to kick-off the 2010 Sheaves for Christ Campaign.
